It's easy to use and simple to understand!

Hi Danielle! Tell me about what you love.

I love my job. I’m Chief Strategy Officer at Stribling & Associates, which is a real estate firm in New York. I work with an amazing team and some incredible agents. I feel really lucky to love going to work every day.

What do you love most about your job?

It’s funny, because I know the opinion polls show real estate agents have the same favorability as Congress, but my company has done an amazing job putting their values first, especially integrity and hospitality. That means a lot to me.

How so?

For us, it’s all about valuing the client and exceeding expectations. The real estate industry is changing, and the focus is on technology now more than ever before, which is definitely exciting. We have the same tech as everyone else, but that isn’t our only priority. What gets lost in all the tech talk is that this is still an industry of relationships. For us, we focus as much on relationship building and nurturing our clients as we do on tech.

That’s amazing. Have you found tech that aligns with your values?

For sure! I love finding new partners who share our values, and help us innovate together. That’s why I love Lemonade. I really admire how you’re using tech to be a ‘disruptor’ in the industry, even though I can’t stand that word. You guys took something difficult and time-consuming and turned it into something cool and easy to use.

Aw, thank you! So how are you going about bringing more tech to Stribling?

Right now, there are a ton of startups that are tackling the real estate industry. It’s great to know so many VCs and founders who give us a heads up about what’s coming down the line that’s useful. We currently have a portfolio of apps and software that allows our agents to work more efficiently, and helps make their client’s lives easier. By cutting the time spent on administrative tasks in half, they’re able to spend more time selling and building relationships, which is what it’s all about. It’s all really exciting, I’m super passionate about that part of my role.

Outside of work, what are you passionate about?

The people in my life – my family and friends. I’m really big on solo travel and adventure, but if my family or friends are getting together, even if it’s in their living room, at the end of the day that’s where I would rather be.

I’d love to hear more about your solo travels!

I’m a big adventurer. I mountain bike, I climb, and I boulder. I’ll basically try anything that involves an adrenaline rush. If my friends are considering doing something that’s really out there, I’ll usually get the call saying, ‘you’re coming!’ Basically, I’m a real estate and tech nerd who has a little bit of a wild side. The way I see it, between travel and people I love, what else is there in life? I mean, do I love shoes? Do I love buying clothes? Yeah, totally, but that’s not a priority. The important thing to live for is experiences, because that’s all you can take with you. Two years from now, I’m never going to remember the pair of shoes I bought, but I’m going to remember that year I biked on the rim of Lake Tahoe.

Such a great motto. How often do you travel?

I try a few times a year, but especially every year before my birthday. I take a trip and have an experience that I’ve never had before. It’s kind of a reminder for the year ahead that I’ve had a lot of cool experiences, but I have long way to go and a lot more to do. And then I come home and spend my birthday with my friends and family. It’s all a great reminder of what’s important in life.
